This scene takes place on the CNV Sovereign. Baird is known for his ability to repair and alternately destroy things so I wanted to capture him when he was hungry and desperate for a can of warm imitation ham. Anya is not impressed but I imagine Marcus wouldn't really care since he probably uses his lancer chainsaw to groom his goatee.

I waited until l I played through Gears of War 3 to come up with a concept but it left me with only three days to get this illustration done! I will never again attempt a painting like this in three sittings; it was brutal! I was happy to paint this though as Gears of War is one of my favorite game series for the current generation.
